Principal's Message

Dear AMSPA Families,

 

On behalf of the staff at AMS Peoria Advanced, I am happy to welcome you to the  2023-24 school year! I hope all our families had a fun summer where great experiences were had, and lasting memories made. We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our scholars can achieve at their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in schools, our scholars need support from both home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for their success and want you to know that we will do our absolute best to carry out our responsibilities.

 

As a new member to the AMSPA community, I have been reviewing information, listening to feedback and learning of the great things our school has to offer. It is my goal to ensure that the culture of the school is centered around our scholars’ wellbeing. Our work will continue to focus on the development of Professional Learning Communities for our teachers, strengthening our academic growth, and ensuring that all of our students learn our essential  standards (STING). Certainly, a safe and supportive school environment, as well as providing social-emotional support, is at the core of our work.

 

Our enthusiastic and committed teachers have been working during the summer in planning sessions, attending professional development, and getting our classrooms ready. They cannot wait for the first day of school, and for the opportunity to begin working with the scholars. I am confident that together we will have a productive and enriching school year!

¡En nombre del personal de AMS Peoria Advanced, me complace darle la bienvenida al año escolar 2023-24! Espero que todas nuestras familias hayan tenido un verano ivertido donde hayan tenido estupendas experiencias y se hayan hecho recuerdos maravillosos. Esperamos trabajar con usted para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes puedan alcanzar su máximo potencial. Reconocemos que para tener éxito en las escuelas, nuestros estudiantes necesitan el apoyo tanto del hogar como de la escuela. Como socios, compartimos la responsabilidad de su éxito y queremos que sepa que haremos todo lo posible para llevar a cabo nuestras responsabilidades. Como nuevo miembro de la comunidad AMSPA, he estado revisando información, escuchando comentarios y aprendiendo de las estupendas cosas que nuestra academia tiene para ofrecer.

 

Mi objetivo es garantizar que la cultura de la escuela se centre en el bienestar de nuestros alumnos. Nuestro trabajo continuará enfocándonos en el desarrollo de Comunidades de Aprendizaje Profesional para nuestros maestros, fortaleciendo nuestro crecimiento académico y asegurando que todos nuestros estudiantes aprendan nuestros estándares esenciales (STING).

 

Ciertamente, un ambiente escolar seguro y acogedor, así como proporcionar apoyo socioemocional, es el objetivo de nuestro trabajo. Nuestros maestros entusiastas y comprometidos han estado trabajando durante el verano en sesiones de planificación, asistiendo al desarrollo profesional y preparando nuestros salones. Nuestros maestros están ansiosos por comenzar el primer día de clases y por la oportunidad de comenzar a trabajar con sus estudiantes. ¡Estoy seguro de que juntos tendremos un año escolar productivo y enriquecedor!
